The Scorching City

It's hard to believe two weeks ago it was raining with highs in the 50's...I highly prefer it over the scorch of city pavement.  I've been off work, officially, for 5 days now and I'm still struggling to get over the "jet lag" of night shift.  Madge has been wonderful working her tush off finalizing plans, tieing up loose ends, entertaining the dogs, getting a giant new tattoo...and catering to my every whim!

We are leaving tomorrow for the first leg of our journey and I am so happy, so excited, so thankful!! Without the help of my wonderful friends and community, this whole summer wouldn't be possible.  We get to live out a dream by taking 12 weeks to travel and explore together. I am very aware how rare this opportunity is.

Although Madge and I have both worked hard to make this possible, you, our dears friends whom we love, have helped make it a reality.
